Prerequisite: Junior or senior status.
Designed to support advanced level projects shot in Narrative Film Workshop, Advanced Film Production Workshop, and Broadcast Documentary.
This is both a lecture and workshop class for student directors and those wanting to become editors. Each student has the opportunity to edit and workshop their film shot in either an intermediate or advanced production class. Juniors and seniors learn advanced technical and aesthetic techniques in digital editing while working on an advanced Avid editing system. They also get a refresher in the basics of importing, logging, and digitizing. There are guest lecturers and one or two field trips to post-production houses during the semester.
