Megan is an intensive care unit doctor and on call for twenty-four hours. A young male patient, Martin, is admitted to the unit with a severe head injury. Megan has to make a choice, but her fears about the certainty of knowing if Martin is brain dead begin to haunt her.

Helena Smith
Helena was born and raised in Manchester, England. She is a doctor specializing in anesthetics and intensive care medicine. Whilst at medical school she formed the Chequered Floor Theatre Company, for which she produced and directed her own work as well as popular pieces from Shakespeare to Stoppard.
In 1998, Helena produced, directed and wrote her first short film, Flower Bedding, which screened at the Raindance and Claremont-Ferrand film festivals before being sold to In-Movies.uk and Parallel TV. Helena attended the Tisch School of the Arts Graduate Film program at New York University. Whilst in the film program she wrote and directed the short films Virtually Reading, I'm Thursdays, and the short documentary Sofer. I'm Thursdays screened at the NYU First Run Film Festival in April 2003 and was named a Wasserman Finalist, winning awards for original score and sound. Helena's thesis film, No Verbal Response, was a Wasserman Finalist at the NYU First Run Film Festival April 2004, winning an award for editing. The film was sold to Sky TV UK. Helena has worked on over thirty short films. Her credits include producer for Soap directed by Oliver Cheetham, and director of photography for Wet and Jamie and Anna, directed by Grant Greenberg. At present she is working on her feature film as well as writing a drama series for television.
